Sometimes we can lose who we are… So here is a poem about just that.

In response to 5 Reminders You Just Might Need Right Now

Being who you were meant to be sometimes doesn’t come so easily. But if there’s anything I’ve learned during the last few years it’s not to let anyone tear you down.

We are all unique and very deserving of love.

 

Sure, I still struggle with self-acceptance and it is something I try to work on when I can.

Here is a poem on just that…

Reflection

The mirror seems distorted,

But it shows you who you are.

Do not dismiss it –

Even when you’re lost.

You are your own person.

There’s no one else like you.

Look in the mirror and understand

How valued you are.

You are worthy of love.

You are capable of so much.

Let them know of your self-love.

It is not vain,

Its welcomed.

Self-worth is the first place to start.

For, if you can’t accept yourself

How do you expect others to?

Love starts at home.

Put yourself first

And in time

You will know.

You are special.

You are loved.

There is no one else

Like you.

Let your uniqueness shine through.
