Journalist Arshad Sharif died in Kenya reportedly after being shot, his wife Javeria Siddique confirmed early on Monday morning.

“I lost friend, husband and my favorite journalist [Arshad Sharif] today, as per police he was shot in Kenya,” she tweeted.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said Pakistan’s High Commission in Kenya was ascertaining information from the authorities.

Authorities in both countries are yet to confirm the journalist’s death and the circumstances surrounding it. Some Pakistani media outlets had initially stated that Sharif was shot dead but later said he died in an accident.

However, Sharif’s wife later tweeted that the journalist was shot dead in Kenya.

Sharif, who was a fierce critic of the incumbent government and the country’s establishment, had left Pakistan earlier this year after sedition cases were registered against him in different cities.

Condolences

Condolences poured in from colleagues and politicians on the journalist’s death.

President Dr Arif Alvi termed Sharif’s death a loss for journalism and Pakistan. “May his soul rest in peace and may his family, which includes his followers, have the strength to bear this loss,” Alvi said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he was deeply saddened. He offered condolences and prayers for the journalist’s family.

“My brother, my friend, my colleague Arshad Shareef was shot dead in Kenya … I still can’t believe it. It’s beyond heart breaking. This is just wrong … this is painful … I love u brother,” ARY News anchorperson Kashif Abbasi tweeted.

“Unbelievable. May Allah rest the soul of Arshad Sharif in peace. Ameen,” journalist Hamid Mir tweeted.

Geo News anchorperson Shahzeb Khanzada said he was extremely sad to hear the devastating news.

“Arshad Sharif, not just a colleague, a brother, is no more. From Islamabad to Moscow, from Dunya News to ARY, I’ve not known a finer gentleman. Shot dead. Too young. Too brutally,” Hum News anchorperson Meher Bokhari tweeted.

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar and Senator Azam Swati also said they were shocked and devastated by the news of Sharif’s death.

Journalists Kamran Khan and Shahbaz Rana called for an investigation into Sharif’s killing.

IHC instructs officials to meet Sharif’s family

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Athar Minallah, while hearing a petition seeking an inquiry into Sharif’s death, instructed representatives from the foreign and interior ministries to immediately meet the journalist’s family.

The court also issued notices to the federal and interior secretaries and directed their respective ministries to submit a report tomorrow.

The petition filed by Advocate Shoaib Razzaq, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, requested the court to order the formation of a judicial commission to investigate why the journalist was forced to flee Pakistan, and later the United Arab Emirates.

“The judicial commission may also be directed to liaison with national agencies and the Kenyan agencies and probe into the heinous act which had led to the unwarranted cold-blooded murder of Arshad Sharif,” the petition stated.

It also requested the court to issue directives for bringing the journalist’s body back to Pakistan.

Cases against Sharif

Earlier this year, police had booked Sharif, ARY Digital Network President and CEO Salman Iqbal, Head of News and Current Affairs Ammad Yousaf, anchorperson Khawar Ghumman and a producer for sedition over a controversial interview by PTI leader Dr Shahbaz Gill broadcast on the channel on Aug 8.

A day later, the Interior Ministry had cancelled the channel’s no-objection certificate citing “adverse reports from agencies” as the reason behind the decision — a decision that was later reversed after an order of the Sindh High Court.

The FIRs, which were registered in Hyderabad and Karachi, included Sections 131 (abetting mutiny, or attempting to seduce a soldier, sailor or airman from his duty), 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot) and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The FIRs referred to Sharif’s comments in a conversation with journalist Matiullah Jan on his YouTube channel wherein he allegedly “disrespected” state institutions and uttered statements that attempted to “spread hate in the army and create a hateful atmosphere”.

Another FIR in Dadu, under PPC Sections 131, 153 and 505, mentioned Sharif and ARY News journalist Sabir Shakir. The FIR said that “derogatory language” regarding state institutions was used in a conversation between the two and analogies were drawn to Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq. It added that the two were inciting people against the army and state institutions.

Subsequently, Sharif had left the country.

The ARY Network had later announced it had “parted ways” with Sharif without citing a specific reason but stating that it expects its employees’ conduct on social media to be in line with the company policy.

The company, however, did not mention the social media post for which Sharif was let go.

Sharif was awarded the Pride of Performance by President Alvi in March 2019.

7 Things You Should Know About Getting More Work Done In Less Time: A blog about busywork, how to overcome procrastination and more
Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

Introduction

Whether you’re at home or in the office, there are always things to do and not enough time to do them. It’s easy to fall victim to busywork, procrastination and other time-wasters—but here are some tips that can help you get more done in less time:

You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to get started.

One of the best ways to get started is to make a list of all the things you want to do, and then prioritize it by importance. If you have something else on your mind that’s not on the list, try adding it.

Next, take each item and make a plan for how you’d like to accomplish it. For example, if you’ve decided that one of your tasks is going through your email inbox (which was probably my most stressful task), here are some things I would recommend:

  • Make sure you have an unread count enabled in Gmail or Outlook
  • Set aside time for yourself every day instead of trying to tackle everything in one sitting at once
  • Try setting up filters so that emails from certain people don’t show up in your inbox anymore (I have a filter set up so that emails from my boss don’t show up). That way when I come back tomorrow I won’t feel as overwhelmed by seeing all these new messages waiting for me!

Busywork is the enemy of productivity.

The first step toward avoiding busywork is understanding what it is. Busywork is the stuff we do when we don’t know what else to do, or when we’re trying to distract ourselves from something that’s uncomfortable or difficult. It’s usually unproductive, and often redundant in nature—if you keep doing something over and over again because you think you have to, chances are good that there’s a more efficient way of doing it.

Busywork can take many forms: unnecessary meetings; repetitive tasks like updating spreadsheets; excessive email checking; worrying about things that haven’t happened yet instead of focusing on the steps required for getting them done (a problem known as “analysis paralysis”). Even if these activities sound productive at first glance, take time out of your day to consider whether they’re actually contributing anything meaningful toward your goals—and if not, cut them out!

The best way to avoid busywork is to plan ahead so there’s no need for it in the first place. When faced with an unavoidable situation where no amount of planning could help (such as attending a meeting), decide beforehand how much time or energy should be dedicated toward actually participating in said meeting versus simply being present as an observer (or even better: leave early).

Keeping your space clean and organized can help you work better.

While it may seem like a good idea to keep your work space as messy and cluttered as possible, this is actually not the case. A clean workspace can help you focus on your work because it allows you to see everything at once. It also leaves room for creativity, which is something that many people forget about when they’re stressed out and feeling overwhelmed by their workload.

Keeping things organized will give you more time in the day to do what matters most: working! And when you do have any free time left over from doing actual work, why not put it towards cleaning up? Organizing your closet will save you lots of time later, and if you ever want to make some extra cash on the side then there are plenty of sites like Fiverr that let people sell tasks like these for as low as $5!

Some foods make you more alert, while others make you tired or unfocused.

Some foods make you more alert, while others make you tired or unfocused.

  • Sugar and caffeine: Caffeine is a stimulant that can give you an energy boost. It can also lead to short-term increases in blood pressure and heart rate, so be careful if you’re sensitive to these effects. Sugar is another stimulant that gives a temporary increase in energy levels but eventually causes fatigue when it wears off (thus the “sugar crash”).
  • Protein: Protein helps build muscle mass, which burns fat for energy instead of carbohydrates (sugar). It also helps regulate blood sugar levels and keeps your brain focused on tasks at hand instead of dreaming up errands to run.
  • Fatty acids: Omega-3 fatty acids are great for mental health as they play an important role in cell development and regeneration in the brain—particularly during childhood years when neural pathways are being established! They reduce inflammation throughout your body by blocking pro-inflammatory cytokines at inflammatory sites such as swollen joints or inflamed arteries brought on by high cholesterol levels due to unhealthy lifestyle choices such as smoking cigarettes or drinking beer every day after work before dinner time arrives—which usually happens sometime between 9pm – 10pm depending on how much milk has been drunk earlier during the day during lunchtime hours.

Use your calendar wisely to organize your time most effectively.

The most important thing to do is to use your calendar wisely. You need to schedule time for meetings, appointments and other important events. You also need to schedule time for yourself and your family, as well as relaxation and exercise.

A good way of doing this is by setting aside specific times in your day when you can work on each project or task. You should also set aside some time at the end of the day when you relax and unwind from all the hard work you did throughout the day.

Become an expert at what you do so that it doesn’t take as much time.

If you want to become an expert at something, there are three different ways to go about it:

  • Learn the basics and then practice. This is a good way to become an expert if you’re not already well-versed in what you want to learn. By learning all of the basics first, you’ll be able to understand how everything works and then get started on your project with confidence.
  • Learn from other people’s mistakes and successes. If there are any other people who have already done whatever it is that you’re trying to do and they’ve made mistakes while doing so or had success at times along the way, ask them for advice! They may not always have time or patience for this kind of thing but hopefully they’ll be willing enough at least once or twice so that they can help get some advice out there for others like yourself who might need it someday too someday soon down south somewhere near where my feet rest when I’m sleeping next door neighbors live close together but not quite close enough…?

Don’t forget to schedule down time for yourself!

Taking a break is an important part of keeping your mind focused and productive. However, it can be easy to fall into the trap of feeling guilty about taking time off from work. When you’re not working, it’s easy to feel like you should be doing something productive instead.

That’s why it’s important to schedule down time. You need to make sure that you have some sort of non-work related activity scheduled for every single day so that your mind has time to rest and recharge itself before jumping back into another project or task list item on the next day. This will allow you not only avoid burnout but also give yourself a chance at getting more done by making sure that no matter what happens in your career journey (and there will always be something), whether it be good news or bad news, stressful deadlines or relaxed ones—you always have something planned where all of this can happen without having any negative impact on how effective our minds are when we get back home after being away from home all day long!

There are a number of ways to maximize your effectiveness and efficiency at work or school

  • Plan
  • Calendar
  • To-Do List
  • Checklist
  • To-Don’t List (if you’re a person who gets distracted easily)

You can also use an alarm clock to remind yourself of important tasks. For example, if your boss asked you to submit the report by 5pm, set the alarm for 4:55pm and then get started on the task at hand. Don’t waste time playing around with your phone or checking Facebook just before the deadline. If a task needs more than one hour to complete, break it down into smaller chunks so that it is easier to manage. And always avoid multitasking – it makes no sense whatsoever!

Conclusion

We hope these tips have helped you get more done in less time. If there’s one thing we know it’s that everyone is busy, but the key to staying productive and avoiding burnout is simple: keep your space organized, use your calendar wisely, be an expert at what you do so it doesn’t take as much time and don’t forget to schedule down time for yourself!

Top ten betting companies ordered by market capitalization

Top ten betting companies ordered by market capitalization
Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

Despite the complexity of the economic system, the gaming industry is constantly growing. But what should we expect from this business when industry experts are talking about a global recession?

In this article, we will discover the top ten gambling companies, ordered by market capitalization; mentioning an overview of the financial situation and future prospects.

  1. Française des Jeux (FDJ): 5.97 billion euros

Française des Jeux (FDJ) is the operator of the French National Lottery and entered the top ten with a market capitalization of $5.97 billion. But although revenue has increased, shareholders still do not have much confidence in its recovery. FDJ currently has as its main goal to be the leading operator of the French national lottery.

  1. Wynn Resorts: $7.44 billion

Wynn Resorts has as the backdrop of its story two cities that are Las Vegas and Macau. While the city in Nevada has remarkably resumed its activities, the situation is less rosy for Macau. In fact, experts do not predict a recovery for Macau until at least 2023, assuming there are no further issues. Wynn Resorts’ share price has been falling throughout this year: however, several analysts consider the corporate position to be relatively safe.

  1. Entain: £7.2 billion

Entain is a predominantly online operator that has grown significantly in recent years. Market capitalization currently stands at US$8.2 billion, although the shares are currently valued at about £12: far less than the £17 at the beginning of 2022.

Undoubtedly this has also been partly driven by the withdrawal from the Netherlands, as well as stricter accessibility measures in the UK. Currently, experts predict an upward trend for Entain.

  1. DraftKings: $8.34 billion

ALSO READ  The True Story Of Barbora Škrlová

DraftKings – thanks to marketing and promotional offers – is in a leading position in the U.S. sports betting market.

The operator saw revenues of $466 million in the second quarter, although after deducting costs, it posted a net loss of $217 million. However, its stock price has actually increased.

  1. Caesars Entertainment: $9.67 billion

Caesars is a land-based operator and after the end of restrictions caused by Covid-19, it has seen growth. However, since the beginning of the year its share price has fallen from over $89 to less than $45. Caesars is also attempting to make its way into iGaming, although it continues to focus on traditional casinos.

  1. MGM Resorts: $13.11 billion

MGM Resorts is a predominantly land-based operator with locations in both Las Vegas and Macau, like Wynn Resorts. MGM Resorts in Las Vegas has facilitated offsetting revenue declines in Macau. The company is climbing back up after a lull. In fact, since March 2020, due to blockades and closures, its share price has plummeted to less than US$10, although we are now at a value of around US$30.

  1. Aristocratic: AU $22.77 billion

Aristocrat is an Australian company, a manufacturer of gambling machines. The company was hit hard by the pandemic, but is now on the upswing with US$15.2 billion in market capitalization. Its Aristocrat share price has fallen from a high of over A$48 in late 2021, and is now rising.

  1. Evolution Gaming: SEK 179.73 billion

Evolution top player on Slot machine online with SEK 16.6 billion, is only slightly ahead of Aristocrat. Its growth is due particularly for the live casino segment, and the company continues to report outstanding quarterly results. However, Evolution’s shares are unstable as the price first rose considerably and then had a downward trajectory.

  1. Flutter Entertainment: 18.38 billion pounds

At US$20.9 billion, Flutter Entertainment represents Ireland with the silver medal. Its position is dominant in both the United Kingdom and the United States, partly due to the FanDuel brand.

In recent months, Flutter has experienced steady and sustained growth, thanks to its Italian expansion through acquisition of the Sisal brand.

  1. Las Vegas Sands: $29.53 billion.

The top spot belongs to Las Vegas Sands (LVS), number one in terms of market capitalization.

However, its shares are not yet at the pre-pandemic level and at the moment, their price is just over US$38. This is far less than the February 2020 level of $70.

The bookmaker is tied to Macau and consequently to the city’s recovery from Covid-19 and it may take a while yet. We need to see if investors will have confidence in the company to wait out this complex situation.

Conclusions

By now at the end of 2022, we can say that the industry shows a good balance between online and land-based. However, it is complicated to predict whether this situation will be maintained in the future. One of the key points is to understand how and when the situation in Macau will recover, as this will certainly impact Wynn Resorts and LVS, as well as MGM Resorts to a lesser extent.

Thailand children’s daycare mass shooting death toll rises to 35

At least 23 children killed in attack by ex-police officer who later shot dead his wife and son before turning his weapon on himself.

A former police officer opened fire at a daycare centre in Thailand killing at least 35 people, mostly children, before turning a weapon on his family and then himself.

The attacker – armed with a shotgun, pistol and a knife – began the killing spree in Nong Bua Lam Phu province at about 12:30pm (05:30 GMT) on Thursday before fleeing the scene in a pick-up truck.

The dead included at least 23 children, said police Colonel Jakkapat Vijitraithaya. The gunman forced his way into a locked room where children were sleeping at the time, according to a witness.

After the attack, the gunman went home and killed his wife and child, Jakkapat said.

The attacker was named as former police officer Panya Khamrab, 34, and Jakkapat said he was dismissed from the force last year for drug use.

Nanthicha Punchum, acting head of the nursery, described harrowing scenes as the attacker barged into the building.

“There were some staff eating lunch outside the nursery and the attacker parked his car and shot four of them dead,” she said. “The shooter smashed down the door with his leg and then came inside and started slashing the children’s heads with a knife.”

The children at the daycare centre in Uthai Sawan, a town 500km (310 miles) northeast of the capital Bangkok, were mostly stabbed to death, police said.

Footage after the attack showed distraught parents weeping in a shelter outside the nursery, a yellow single-storey building set in a garden.

‘Thought it was fireworks’

About 30 children were at the centre when the gunman entered at around lunchtime, district official Jidapa Boonsom said.

The man first shot four or five staff, including a teacher who was eight months pregnant, Jidapa said. “At first people thought it was fireworks… It’s really shocking. We were very scared and running to hide once we knew it was a shooting. So many children got killed, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Photographs showed at least two bodies on the floor of the centre covered in white sheets.

Witness Paweena Purichan, 31, was riding her motorcycle to her shop when she encountered the fleeing assailant driving erratically. “He intended to crash into others on the road,” she said.

“The attacker rammed a motorbike and two people were injured. I sped off to get away from him. There was blood everywhere.”

Killed his wife and child

Police spokesperson Paisan Luesomboon told broadcaster Thai PBS the gunman had been at a court hearing in connection with a drug case earlier on Thursday and had gone to the daycare to find his own child, but the child was not there.

“He was already stressed and when he couldn’t find his child he was more stressed and started shooting,” Paisan said, adding he then drove home and killed his wife and child there before taking his own life.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha ordered the national police chief to “fast-track an investigation” and said he would travel to the scene of the attack on Friday.

“This should not happen. This absolutely should not happen,” Prayut told reporters. “I am extremely sorry for those who were injured and lost [their loved ones].”

Gun laws are strict in Thailand where possession of an illegal firearm carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years, but ownership is high compared with some other countries in the region.

Mass shootings are rare in Thailand but in 2020 a soldier angry over a property deal killed at least 29 people and wounded 57 in a rampage that spanned four locations.

Thailand massacre: ex-cop kills 24 children in knife and gun rampage
Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

NA KLANG, Thailand, Oct 6 (Reuters) – A former policeman killed 34 people, including 23 children, during a knife and gun rampage at a daycare centre in northeast Thailand on Thursday, police said, before later shooting dead his wife and child at home and turning his weapon on himself.

In one of the world’s worst child death tolls in a massacre by a single killer in recent history, most of the children who died at the daycare centre in Uthai Sawan, a town 500 km (310 miles) northeast of Bangkok, were stabbed to death, police said.

The age range of children at the daycare centre was from two to five years, a local official told Reuters.

Police identified the attacker as a former member of the force who was dismissed from his post last year over drug allegations and he was facing trial on a drugs charge.

The man had been in court earlier in the day and had then gone to the daycare centre to collect his child, police spokesperson Paisal Luesomboon told broadcaster ThaiPBS.

When he did not find his child there, he began the killing spree, Paisal said. “He started shooting, slashing, killing children at the Uthai Sawan daycare centre,” Paisal said.

“It’s a scene that nobody wants to see. From the first step when I went in, it felt harrowing,” Piyalak Kingkaew, an experienced emergency worker heading the first responder team, told Reuters.

“We’ve been through it before, but this incident is most harrowing because they are little kids.”

A large van that police said contained bodies of 22 people, mostly children, was seen by Reuters departing from a police station headed towards the city of Udon Thani, 80 km (50 miles) away, where autopsies would be performed.

‘I BEGGED HIM FOR MERCY’

A Reuters photographer also saw late on Thursday the body of the shooter, Panya Khamrapm, being moved in a bodybag from a van to a police station in the province.

Photographs taken at the daycare centre by the rescue team and shared with Reuters showed the tiny bodies of those killed laid out on blankets. Abandoned juice boxes were scattered across the floor.

“He was heading towards me and I begged him for mercy, I didn’t know what to do,” one distraught woman told ThaiPBS, fighting back tears.

“He didn’t say anything, he shot at the door while the kids were sleeping,” another woman said, becoming distraught.

Police said the attacker’s weapon was a 9 mm pistol and it had been obtained legally.

Thailand’s police chief said the perpetrator had tried to break into the premises and had mostly used a knife in the killings.

“Then he got out and started killing anyone he met along the way with a gun or the knife until he got home. We surrounded his house and then found that he committed suicide in his home,” Damrongsak Kittiprapas told reporters.

He said a few children had survived, without giving details.

About 30 children were at the facility – a pink, one-storey building surrounded by a lawn and small palm trees – when the attacker arrived, fewer than usual, as heavy rain had kept many people away, said district official Jidapa Boonsom, who was working in a nearby office at the time.

“The shooter came in around lunch time and shot four or five officials at the childcare centre first,” Jidapa told Reuters.

The attacker forced his way into a locked room where the children were sleeping, Jidapa said. A teacher who was eight months pregnant was also among those stabbed to death, she said.

The massacre is among the worst involving children killed by one person. Anders Breivik killed 69 people, mostly teenagers, at a summer camp in Norway in 2011, while the death toll in other cases include 20 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut in 2012, 16 at Dunblane in Scotland in 1996 and 19 at a school in Uvalde, Texas, this year.

DRUGS CHARGE

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha was expected to visit the region on Friday. In a statement on Facebook, he called Thursday’s rampage a “shocking incident”.

Prayuth ordered all government departments to fly the national flag at half mast on Friday to mark a tragedy that “had caused grief to the entire nation”, his spokesperson Anusha Burapchaisri said.

King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will visit families of the victims in Udon Thani on Friday, according to a local announcement.

The government said it would provide financial aid to the families to help cover funeral expenses and medical treatment.

The White House and the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres both expressed shock at the attack and sent condolences to the victims’ families.

Gun laws are strict in Thailand, where possession of an illegal firearm carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years. But ownership is high compared with some other countries in Southeast Asia. Illegal weapons, many brought in from strife-torn neighbouring countries, are common.

Mass shootings in Thailand remain rare, although in 2020, a soldier angry over a property deal gone sour killed at least 29 people and wounded 57 in a rampage that spanned four locations.

A former student fatally shot a faculty member inside a building at the University of Arizona on Wednesday afternoon, sending the campus into a lockdown as officers searched for the gunman, police said.

Police said the shooting took place shortly after 2 p.m. inside the John W. Harshbarger Building, near East Second Street and North Mountain Avenue. The building houses the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences. The victim was identified as a male professor in the Department of Hydrology, but his name was not immediately released.

UA Police Chief Paula Balafas said the suspect was arrested by the Department of Public Safety shortly after 5 p.m. on Interstate 8 at Gila Bend. He was identified as Murad Dervish, 46.

Balafas said that just after 2 p.m. UA police received a call from someone inside the building that a former student was there and that the ex-student was not allowed inside the building. The person requested officers come to Harshbarger and escort the person out. Before officers arrived within a few minutes another caller reported a shooting inside the building.

A faculty member who was in the building at the time said he heard seven to 10 gunshots. The faculty member asked not to be identified. Police later said a handgun was used in the shooting.

All remaining in-person classes, activities and performances on the UA campus were canceled for the rest of Wednesday, according to a UA police update. At about 3:30 p.m., UA police said the campus lockdown and shelter-in-place have been lifted, but people should stay away from the Harshbarger building. No decision had been made on whether there would be in-person classes on Thursday. The building where the shooting occurred will be closed indefinitely.

Balafas encourages students and faculty who may be shaken up by the incident to get in touch with the UA’s Counseling and Psych Services. CAPS is able to provide crisis counseling.

“I don’t know what the suspect’s issue was in this case, but if you see something, don’t just say something but do something. If you know someone struggling with mental health issues or anger issues, please reach out,” Balafas said.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of a shooting at the UA College of Nursing in which three professors were killed by a failing student, who then took his own life on Oct. 28, 2002.

More recently, a 20-year-old UA sophomore was fatally shot in a campus parking garage on Feb. 20, 2021. Forrest Keys was killed during a confrontation with three people in a car who drove by him late at night. Two 18-year-old men received 30-year prison sentences for the slaying.

In 2009 the film has released The orphan whose plot revolved around Esther, who is adopted by a couple who just lost their baby. However, when strange things begin to happen, the couple begins to suspect that the girl is to blame for everything. spoiler alert: at the end of the film we learn that the little girl is an adult who pretends to be 13 years old when in reality she is 33.

The plot of the film impacted many, but not as much as when it came to light that it was based on real events, only instead of Esther, the woman is called Barbora Skrlová. Her story became very popular in 2007 when the Czech Republic media revealed one of the most lurid cases recorded in that country. Although there are no official records of her childhood, it is known that from a very young age she was subjected to studies to find out why she could not develop like any other girl.

Barbora was born with a serious condition of hypopituitarism, a disease that causes the pituitary gland to not produce sufficient levels of hormones for growth. For this reason, the 33-year-old had the appearance of a 13-year-old girl.

From an early age, her parents discovered that she suffered from some mental problems with psychopathic tendencies, so they decided to put her in a hospital from which it is still unknown how she managed to escape.

After her escape, the young woman posed as a 13-year-old girl under the name Anika and was able to gain the trust of Klara and Katherina Mauerová, sisters and single mothers who lived in Kuřim, Czech Republic, with their children. Soon after, the woman convinced them to join the sect called “The Grail movement”, where they carried out heinous activities such as incest and cannibalism.

In that place, the minors were caged, beaten, burned, poorly fed and victims of more abuse, which ended when one of their neighbors bought a device to monitor babies, through which he captured the signal of the monitors that they had in their basement. Realizing this, the man reported them to the authorities, who arrested the sisters and later took the minors, including Anika, to a specialized center.

Anika and Klara

Katherina and Klara explained that they had allowed themselves to be manipulated by Barbora, who had already fled to Norway in search of starting a new life. In this country there is a record that she cut her hair, put on a little weight and called herself Adam.

“Adam” was adopted by a family. However, raising suspicions, she escaped again, although she was able to be arrested by the authorities and sentenced to five years in prison.

Adam-Barbora

Thirteen years ago, in 2009, Barbora Skrlová was extradited to the Czech Republic and after two years in prison, she was released for good behavior. So far the whereabouts of the woman who inspired the story of The orphan.

Woman, 33, Was Disguised As Teen Boy

A nationwide search for a missing 13-year-old Czech boy exposed a bizarre case of identity theft in which a 33-year-old woman spent four months posing as a schoolboy in Norway, police said Thursday.

Barbora Skrlova had been hiding from Czech authorities to avoid giving testimony in a 2007 child abuse case, Czech police said.

She was deported back to the Czech Republic and detained Wednesday after months of fooling teachers, childcare workers and police in Norway by passing herself off as a boy named “Adam,” Czech police spokeswoman Andrea Prochazkova said.

A woman who supplied a Czech passport enrolled her son “Adam” at the Marienlyst school near Oslo last September, authorities said.

Adam was actually the 5-foot-2 Skrlova, her breasts bound and head shaved, authorities said.

School authorities said they did noticed Adam’s strange behavior.

“We did react to Adam’s behavior. But it’s not easy to know. Children at that age can be so different,” school principal Ingjerd Eriksen told the Oslo newspaper Dagbladet.

In mid-December, however, Adam disappeared from an Oslo children’s home, prompting police to launch a nationwide search and publish photographs Jan. 4 of the missing “child.”

Tips led them to Skrlova in the Arctic city on Tromsoe.

“It turned out that the so-called missing teenager was a 33-year-old woman,” Norwegian police said in a statement.

“Not even we have been able to figure out what is up and down in this case,” Norwegian police attorney Sven T. Roer said.

Oslo police said the Czech parents of the real Adam are believed to have helped Skrlova deceive Norwegian child care authorities by claiming she was their son.

It apparently is not the first time Skrlova fooled authorities by posing as a child.

In the Czech city of Brno, Skrlova posed as a 13-year-old girl adopted by Klara Mauerova, Czech police said. Mauerova is suspected of abusing her two younger biological sons, and Skrlova is a key witness in the case.

Facing an investigation, Skrlova went with friends to Denmark and ended up in Norway.

Czech authorities now are looking into whether Skrlova should be charged with identity theft and misleading authorities, police said.

Skrlova also was undergoing psychiatric evaluation, police said. She is being held in Brno, 125 miles east of Prague.

Pay attention that today I am going to tell you the true story of Barbora Skrlová.
1.jpg

The film “Orphan” tells the chilling story of a woman posing as a girl.
1.jpg

What few know is that it is based on a true story, and it is much more chilling.
2.jpg

Our story begins with Klara Mauerová, a woman born in 1975, in the Czech Republic and who since childhood showed mental problems.
3.jpg

She said that she was the reincarnation of Joan of Arc and that she spoke with God, with everything and her fantasies she came to the university and there she met …
4.jpg

The person who would be the father of their children.
5.jpg

He left her because of his delusions and attacks of violence and for a short time Klara was …
6.jpg

An exemplary mother.

After separation, she began to feel lonely and invited her sister to live with her and her two children.

7.jpg
And at that time they know Barbora Skrlová, a 33-year-old woman with a glandular disease that made her look like a 12-year-old girl.

8.jpg
Barbora also had mental problems and after being admitted to an adult psychiatric hospital, she decided to take advantage of her condition.

9.jpg
And she pretended to be a girl before different families.

10.jpg
Barbora influenced the sisters and introduced them to a cult that fostered promiscuity and child abuse.

Skrlová was sick and had 2 personalities, sometimes she was a dominant woman and sometimes she was a little girl jealous of Klara’s children.

11.jpg
He went to live with the sisters, and when he pretended to be a “girl”, he started a campaign against the little ones, whom he accused of breaking things.

12.jpg
And then Klara and her sister, so as not to lose Barbora’s love, began to punish the two children in increasingly cruel ways.

13.jpg
Barbora totally dominated the two miners and then suggested to Klara to build a cage and lock up her 2 children.

she accepted

14.jpg
The cage was installed in the basement and the 2 children were locked there in 2007.
Klara was willing to do anything to keep from losing Barbora.

15.jpg
For a whole year and on orders from Barbora, Klara and her sister tortured, beat, burned and left the children without food.

16.jpg
The situation reached its climax when Barbora ordered to fatten the children and then cut a piece of meat and eat it in front of them.

17.jpg
He controlled the two women and the children decided to watch them in the cage through a baby monitor.
18.jpg

That idea was his downfall, since a real miracle happened for the children.
It turns out that a neighbor had a baby.

19.jpg
And the husband bought exactly the same monitor model that Barbora had bought and the signal he got was the one from the basement of the 3 women.

20.jpg
He discovered that the signal came from the house next door and warned the police who were horrified to see the images.

21.jpg
The women saw that the police were outside their house and tried to escape but it was useless, Klara and her sister were arrested.

22.jpg
The police entered the basement and what they saw left them breathless, there was a beaten girl hugging a bear and 2 children locked in the cage.

23.jpg
The police rescued the children and comforted the girl who did not stop crying.
They went to take the declaration of the two women and …

24.jpg
And they confessed everything they did to the two little ones.

25.jpg
Two? Asked a policeman.
And when looking at the girl who was crying, she was no longer there.

Barbora had fled.

26.jpg
Far from there, a Norwegian couple adopted a 12-year-old boy named Adam (photo)

27.jpg
They gave him a home and a family, and one day while leaving school, a car pulled up in front of the school and took Adam away.

28.jpg
He was a policeman who wanted to interrogate the child, the policeman suspected that Adam knew something.

Adam’s adoptive parents arrived.

29.jpg
The parents asked for their son the officer told them they were going to put him under arrest because Adam …

30.jpg
It was Barbora.

1.jpg
After fleeing from Klara’s house, he fled through several countries to Norway, there he got fat, cut his hair and pretended to be a boy.

2.jpg
Barbora was much more dangerous than everyone thought, not only was she a psychopath, she could also adopt any identity.

3.jpg
Barbora and the two women were brought to trial and sentenced.

But after psychiatric examinations, she was released at 5 years old.

4.jpg
The other two women were sentenced to 12 years, the children ended up in the hospital (where one died) and the other lives with their father, but ..

Barbora was released from prison in 2011 and since then the trail has been lost …

5.jpg
She is missing, she can cross any border, she is chameleon, intelligent, and she is a diagnosed psychopath.

So be careful the next time a girl or boy approaches you.
6.jpg

It could be Barbora
