Cannes Festival is renowned for celebrating the newest films of all genres – but one guest stole the show by flashing her bare breasts in a very risqué crop top as she stepped out on the red carpet for the premiere of Annette.

The woman, who donned a cream pleated skirt emblazoned with gold leaf pattern, could be seen posing up a storm for photographers as she attended the glamorous event in the South of France on Tuesday.

However, as she placed her left arm behind her head to get the perfect shot, her crop top rose up, resulting in her breasts being on full display.

The guest, who wore her brown hair down in loose waves, accessorised with a white handbag and matching nails.

Elsewhere, Marion Cotillard glittered in a one-shouldered silver gown as she led the stars gracing the red carpet alongside Bella Hadid, Jessica Chastain, and Helen Mirren during the event’s opening night.

The leading lady, 45, made a statement as she arrived at her film’s premiere in her ensemble that had chic detailing on the top and a structured metallic design.

Meanwhile, Bella, 24, put on a stunning display in a chic white gown that had a black chiffon halterneck detailing that showed off a glimpse of her black strapless bra.

French filmmaker Leos Carax led with his first feature film since the critically-acclaimed 2012 film Holy Motors for the new musical.

Annette is Carax’s English language debut and the movie features music from the band Sparks.

The Sparks Brothers members Ron Mael and Russell Mael wrote both this original story and the music for the film, chosen as the Opening Night selection.

Earlier today, Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver posed together at Cannes Film Festival during a photocall for the upcoming movie.

Marion discussed the odd sex scenes the pair had when filming for their roles as a husband and wife, which involved some unusual singing whilst in bedroom situations.

She said: ‘On most classic musicals, you record your songs in advance and then you do playback on the set. But there, Leos wanted everything to be completely live.

‘It added to the complexity of the set: we found ourselves singing in very complicated positions, doing back-crawling or mimicking cunnilingus; acrobatic positions that technically modify your song [the way you sing].

‘But that was the effect Leos was looking for: he wanted the voices modified, thwarted, by the real [situation].’

Marion was intrigued by Carax’s vision because the musical movie – which tells the story of the titular young girl who is born with a special gift – is the first she can recall in which the characters have sex.

She said: ‘We strangely never see people f****** or doing trivial things in musical comedies.’

The film will be released in theatres on August 6, before debuting on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service on August 20.
